My Review

So after looking over almost every single well known and popular type of electronic pulse massager I realized that many of the sold massager models are just the exact same type of massager that is rebranded and rebranded by different companies to sell more inventory. The most well known case is probably the older Prospera model the PL009. The PL009 has been sold by multiple other companies besides Prospera, including truMedic, Mapleaf, Sunpentown, and many more companies.

First, lets take a look at the comparison between the two types of massagers, the PL009 and the PL029. The pictures below are for both of them.

PL029 Pulse Massager

PL009

Notice that the design is slightly different from the two but overall in terms of the buttons, what features you have, and how strong you can increase the intensity of the device, that has not changed.

In terms of how heavy it is and how big it is, both of them are very light making them very portable As for the reviews, there have not been many people who have actually bought the PL029 Pulse massager. Both of the models of pulse massagers are so similar to each other. The product specifications from both of the models are exactly the same, except for some minor details. They are designed and sold by the same company. All that is different is that the PL029 is a newer model. However does newer models always mean that they are better? No.

For this case, when it comes to looking at what types of massager makes the best deal, I would say that the PL009 is the better deal. In general, the PL009 model sold on Amazon is only around $35 on average with free shipping while the PL029 costs around $45 – $60 without shipping.

But what about the people who did buy this model and wrote up a review? What did they say?

First, in the box that comes with the massager it states that the PL029 is supposed to have 5 automatic modes or stimulation programs that you can use. There is also 8 selectable massage pulse styles.

  • Massager
  • Beat
  • Knead
  • Slim
  • Acupuncture
  • Scraping
  • Cupping
  • Immune

The last thing that they say this type of pain relief device that can be done is do something known as a “High Frequency H Stimulation” which is supposed to be able to quickly relief pain in the area that the high frequency signal is sent. Some people have complained that while there is indeed 8 types of massages you can select from, there doesn’t seem to be 5 automatic modes. At least it was hard to find where in the settings or from the instructions manual where and how to set and alternate between the 5 automatic modes. It seems that the instructions manuals are written extremely incoherently so you can’t figure out how to set anything up. Finding where the high frequency h stimulation is also unknown.

Durability is also a big issue with this model. It seems that after even a few uses this model seems to break apart.

Personally, I would not suggest you buy this model from Prospera but get the PL009 Model which is much better reviewed with more people willing to give real, critical analysis on just how effective the pulse massager really is. Click Here to buy the PL009 Massager from Amazon!

However if you are insistent on getting the newer model, since usually newer does mean better, then click on the link below to buy and read other people’s comments about it.

Note that there is two main types of Pulse Massagers, operating on either the EMS or TENS theory. For this model, it operates on the TENS theory which stands for Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation. Watch the video below on how a TENS massager would look like and function.
