PCH Mini Massager Review
Update 10/24/2013: Due to recent demand for this model of pulse massager, I decided to write a much more detailed and complete review for the prospective buyer who is considered going with this model. Some of the things we wrote about in the older model are actually slightly out of date. We got a chance to update the person on what the product description says and what the reviewers have said about this product for hair removal. The PCH Mini Massager is another one of those electronic mini pulse massagers similar to the Echo Massager and the IQ Massager Pro. From looking at the design of it, the model can just be another cheap, low quality medical product made in China and sold at high prices to try to trick people who are in serious pain and looking for relief. The companies or resellers Echo, IQ Massagers, and PCH are selling the exact same mini pulse massager in different names and hoping that people don’t notice that these supposed different pulse massager models are the same thing. Maybe all of these sellers are all middlemen and resellers based in China selling some type of electro-therapeutic massager that is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine principles. From just looking at this type of mini pulse massager, it seems to be just like the other overpriced, fragile devices that other people have complained about.
However, let’s first just suspend our judgement for a short time and see what this model PCH Mini Massager can do. Is it any different from the HealthmateForever Electrotherapy Massager Pro which also looks like this device?
First, looking at the product specifications we know that this device has 6 modes that is preprogrammed into it. These modes are also programs. The 6 programs are probably like what we found in the HealthmateForever Pro model, which consist of the acupuncture, tuina, cupping, scraping, kneading, and similar programs we have seen before.
There is the lithium battery which should have good battery power and lasts a long time. You can charge the battery using either the USB cable provided with the package or use the AC Adapter for plugging into wall outlets.
What do the people who bought the PCH Mini Massager think of it?
Based on what we have seen of other models of electronic mini pulse massagers we can guess that there are probably going to be some negative reviews on this brand sold by PCH as well. The list of problems and complaints on this model is quite extensive. They include the following…
- The battery doesn’t seem to fully charge to 100%, even after days.
- The buttons seem to eventually fall off
- The power supple falls off
- The strength of the signal would slowly decrease
- No response from customer service
- When you buy the device, there is only 2 pads that you get.
Many of these mini massagers seem to fail after a while so you want to get in contact with customer service to try to get a replacement. That is something that happens a lot with these models. The device seems to work really well with people who have arthritis in their joints and back.
Personally, I am not sure if I would recommend this device. It does have some people who have noted that it has some serious problems with it. The majority of the reviews are good, and there are some people who left honest comments on how the mini massagers has helped them get better from muscle tension and pains in their joints.
If we only looked at this PCH Mini Massager device in terms of cost, I would recommend it. The price originally was at $300, which would make it the most expensive pulse massager model we have seen. Now its price has gone done to just $23. That is a very dramatic decrease in price. Even if we did buy the product and it didn’t work out as well as we hoped, it is not that much of a loss. It might work for a short time, but for a first time buyer of pulse massagers, it is a nice introduction into this group of medical devices used for pain relief.
