My Review

This device is slightly different in design from the other types of pulse massagers that are out there. While the theory of pulse massagers uses EMS, electrical muscle stimulation, this works on something else known as transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation which is also known as TENS. While the name is different, the way that the machine actually works is the same as the other types of pulse massagers. You have the controller hooked up to a few pads which are connected to the body part and the controller sends a certain pattern of electrical signal to the area of the body the pad is at to stimulate some type of healing process.

The actual intended use of the device is slightly more different than other massagers that use electrical signals to stimulate the tissue sin the body. While most pulse massagers are to be used to relive muscle tension and relieve muscle pain, like from the lower back, this device is also to be used for sprained, strained, or sore joints as well as muscles. The pain relieve from either muscle or joints is supposed to be able to come in as little as 15 minutes as the product description claims that it can.

As for the actual device, there is 5 levels of intensities you can use, and there is actually 3 programs created from the 5 different levels of intensity. Each of the 3 programs are intended for different parts of the body. One program for the arm, another for the legs and calves, and the last one for the lower back. It turns out that if one got creative, there is actually supposed to be 12 locations in the body that the device can be used on, and those don’t just include the muscle areas, but also the joint areas.

The device is very small and can even fit in the pocket. It is supposed to be also FDA approved but the technology should be approved by the FDA since the same type of technology has been used by doctors and physical therapists for decades.

When you buy the device you get the following…

  1. Omron electroTHERAPY unit
  2. electrode cords
  3. two pads
  4. pad holder
  5. two AAA batteries
  6. Instruction Manual
  7. Quick Start Guide and Pad Placement Guide

The pads that are included, only 2, seem to be already pregeled and stick on immediately. The pads can be washed over many times and can be reused over a hundred times.
